The green ones should be your favorites, as they spin slowly and you can fire them in the direction of your choosing. You'll collect fruit and eliminate enemies as you go, then wind up in a central cauldron with a green pattern on its side.Īs you progress through this area, it's important to note that there are multiple cauldron types. ![]() When you step into it, the cauldron will fire you toward the right. As you head right from the chamber, you'll have no choice but to enter one of many cauldrons. Then you can climb a ladder just to the right and enter another star door. When you reach the top of that area, there are some ice blocks that you can break to cause some goodies to drop. Past that enemy, you can climb another series of ledges that ascend the side of a cliff, then further to the right you'll hop up along another series of platforms and blast a few more pigs along the way. He tosses bombs over a low ledge, but you can fire over that same ledge and take out the enemy before he has a chance to be a real threat. Continuing to the right, you'll find one of the bomb-tossing enemies. If you move at a moderate rate, your shots should handily take care of a series of pigs that will rush downhill to try and attack you, then more pigs that drop along platforms you can climb to reach higher ground. Hop up and grab it, then start toward the right again as you fire an extended volley of shots. ![]() Further to the right, a hand cannon device is sitting on a ledge. Knock them away with your chosen ability, or float over them. As you cross, some enemies will rush you. Through that star door, you'll find a series of wooden platforms leading across a pit to the right. ![]() Collect it, then head up to the main level of the igloo and continue right from there after tending to any snowman monsters who may remain alive. At its base, you'll find the stage's first Energy Sphere. Make sure that you keep melting to reveal a hole into which you can descend. You can melt them with your Fire ability. Absorb his ability and proceed to the right.īlocking entry to the next igloo are some blocks of ice. You can melt the blocks with the Water ability gained from snowmen in the area if you like (there are some to the left), but the enemy is actually of more interest. In one of the last of the igloos, you'll see a fire-breathing enemy on a high ledge, positioned over some heated blocks that prevent you from reaching a blue star. It's unclear why he would choose such a frozen territory to set up home, but he fights the same way that he did earlier in the game. Between the igloos, you'll find more common scenarios as you battle swinging enemies and even one of the cactus fellows with a spike on his head. You can pass over the top of each of these and deal with some simple spring-type enemies, or you can break the blocks and pass along the underside where you'll have to deal with a few weak enemies but can grab stars and such. You can inhale him to learn the Fighter ability, which allows you to kick and grab enemies at close range. You can get near and suck him in (just remember to shake the Wii Remote as you inhale, as usual for larger objects) to eliminate him as a threat.įurther to the right, you'll find a new enemy with a yellow mop of hair and a headband. This one is encased in metal, though, with a mask. As you proceed to the right, you'll encounter one of the larger enemies. ![]()
